Product Description

CADD/BRIAN
(LP)
[ERA : 70s / Rock, Pop ]

Between 1970 and 1972, Ron Tudor's Fable Records established itself as the premier independent record label in Australia. In January 1972, Tudor and singer/songwriter Brian Cadd launched Bootleg Records, a new label along the lines of Leon Russell's Shelter Records. The idea was to have a 'house band' - known as The Bootleg Family Band - to back artists signed to the label for recordings and live performances. Cadd was a music veteran, having already been in popular Australian bands The Groop and Axiom (featuring singer Glenn Shorrock, formerly of The Twilights). Cadd also acted as Fable's A&R Manager and house producer. This was Cadd's debut LP & it was a big success containing the huge hit single Ginger Man.

LP - SIDE A : Fairweather Friend * Tell The World To Go Away * Where The Music's Playing * Josie McGinty * Tell me About Freedom Again LP - SIDE B : Ginger Man * Pappy's Got The Blues * Silver City Birthday Celebration Day * Suite For Life
