[ERA : 70s / Pop, Rock ]

Although Autumn began as a bubblegum band in the late-60Õs,the early-70Õs found them, after various line-up changes, a markedly different band. With lush harmonies, Beatlesque arrangements and a great batch of songs that ranged from breezy pop to progressive rock (as well as the the seven minute orchestral extravaganza: 'Kill My WorldÕ), Comes...Autumn showed a mature and accomplished band that belied both their age and their beginnings. Features the singles 'FallingÕ, and 'GoblinÕs GambleÕ plus 5 bonus tracks: including the rare final single 'Just CouldnÕt Believe ItÕ, a spirited cover of The BeatlesÕ 'Day TripperÕ and previously unreleased demos. Our deluxe reissue is packaged in a 6 panel digi-pak. It has been remastered by Gil Matthews. Liner notes from Ted Lethborg featuring quotes from a recent interview with lead singer Tony Romeril and a 24 page booklet filled with rare photos, posters etc.

  1. From Zero to Hero

Posted by Badger on 2nd May 2015

As with the Flying Circus before them, Autumn go from zeros to heroes with this excellent example of early 1970s Australian rock. The sound quality of the original music has been remastered beautifully for Aztec Music, and along with the original "Comes ... Autumn" album there are bonus tracks as well. In this release, Autumn show they were talented writers and musicians, and definitely more than just a covers pop band. This album is a must for anyone who loves Aussie rock from the early 70s!
